# Starting a project

{% hint style="info" %}
**What you will be able to do**

* Know how a new project is set up: its research folder, its Notion project and its kick-off meeting
* Find the tasks and resources for a project in Notion
  {% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Every project starts the same way: a folder for the research material, a project in Notion that holds its tasks and links, and a kick-off meeting. After that, the work follows the tasks listed in the Notion project.
{% endhint %}

1. Create a clearly named folder for the project in the [Research Drive](https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1khBKa_3ssCiyQM9KdoNUEQHXlx0EaNn8). Keep the project's research material there.
2. The Content Manager creates the project in Notion, from the [New Project template](https://app.notion.com/p/New-Project-005d63c8a6f648948f6790afe3759bdb) in the Projects database. The template comes with the standard tasks, the project documents and a list of resources to link.
3. Hold the kick-off meeting to agree the details of the project. Record them in the project's **Project questionnaire** in Notion.
4. Work through the tasks listed in the Notion project.
